Swanhurst ManorSwanhurst Chorus holds the distinction of being Rhode Island’s longest continually performing choral ensemble, having just celebrated its 87th season. The Chorus ranks among the oldest organizations of its kind in New England and the country. 

Some gems from Swanhurst’s history include, among others,
Puccini’s Messa di Gloria,
Mendelssohn’s Elijah,
J.S. Bach’s Magnificat and Johannespassion,
The Mozart Requiem,
Horatio Parker’s Hora Novissima,
antiphonal works of the Gabrielli’s and Monteverdi, and
Copland’s Canticle of Freedom. 


Mary PoppinsThe Swanhurst Chrous Theater has also successfully offered 15 full scale Broadway productions in a Dinner Theater format - - these shows have become a fixture in the March calendar for Newport Country with sell-outs every year.
