EmmanuelAnnual Messiah Sing

The “Sing” will take place at Emmanuel Church and will feature most of the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah as well as beloved carols. Bring your own score and sing along or just sit and be immersed in the glorious sounds of the season. Scores will be available for rent. A festive “Wassail Bowl” reception for all will follow. Admission is $10, $5 for children 12 and under, and $25 maximum per family. All tickets are only sold at the door for this very popular event

The Swanhurst Chorus Dinner Theatre presents a timeless classic by
James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim, where everyone's favorite storybook characters are brought together in a interwoven story with Tony Award winning music.  Booking details and food selections to follow... 

Swanhurst ManorSwanhurst Chorus holds the distinction of being Rhode Island’s longest continually performing choral ensemble, having just celebrated its 87th season. The Chorus ranks among the oldest organizations of its kind in New England and the country.

Some gems from Swanhurst’s history include, among others, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria,  Mendelssohn’s Elijah, The Mozart Requiem,  Horatio Parker’s Hora Novissima, and  Copland’s Canticle of Freedom.

The Swanhurst Chorus has also successfully offered 18 full scale Broadway productions in a Dinner Theatre format - - these shows have become a fixture in the March calendar for Newport County with sell-outs every year.
